1st birthday prep.
On Saturday, my little boy turns one! EEK What a year, I won’t bore you with my reflections of the year, I’ll keep them to myself.
What I will share is how we are celebrating. It is so easy to go over board with these celebrations. When there are so many blogs out the to get inspiration from like this one or this one or this. You start to feel as if you need to do EVERYTHING sweet food, savory, an amazing cake and beautiful cupcakes, not to mention a personalized goodie bag and then there’s the beverages and the decorations.
I decided to keep it sweet and take it easy, minimize my stress and enjoy it. So I decided to invite close friends and family only, and all im making is a cake and goodie bags, for the beverage champagne!
I love themes, we chose to go with a sail boat theme (watch this space for the cake…if I can pull it off). The theme goes well with my favourite colours of the season, chocolate brown and aqua. Easy!
